During the spring of 2022, I treated a paper mache ammonite model at the University of Delaware. The model had several breaks and losses in the tentacles. The model was in fair condition. The shell was structurally sound but the unstable condition of the tentacles compromised the model's structural integrity.

I reattached loose joins between some of the tentacles and strengthened others. To create the fills, I used lightweight Japanese tissue paper, DI water, and methyl cellulose to create a false paper mache. The fills were attached with B-72 bulked with microballons then shaped with acetone and inpainted.
