Internship with the Crow Indian Virtual Archive and Museum 

As a Cataloguing Intern for the Crow Indian Virtual Archive and Museum, I contributed to a collaborative, digital preservation initiative aimed at increasing access to Crow cultural heritage. Using the Django database platform, I meticulously cataloged and tagged historic photographs, ensuring that metadata accurately reflected both cultural context and archival standards. I also transcribed and timestamped audio interviews with Crow community members, maintaining strict adherence to verbatim transcription protocols and speaker identification to preserve oral histories with integrity. In a broader research capacity, I contributed to a geolocated data log of Crow artifacts held in international museum collections, adding to a global digital map that promotes repatriation awareness and public access. One of the highlights of my internship was co-curating the Miss Indian America Online Exhibition, which brought together past winners, community voices, and archival material in a rich virtual storytelling format. This experience deepened my understanding of Indigenous data sovereignty, digital curation, and the ethical responsibilities involved in representing Native histories.
