Working at the Senoia Area Historical Society Museum 

At the Senoia Area Historical Society & Museum, I’ve led a significant transformation of the museum’s collections management system and day-to-day operations. Partnering with a volunteer team, I undertook a complete cataloging of over 2,000 objects, which included photographing, tagging, and entering items into the museum’s database, greatly improving inventory control and accessibility. I also assessed and implemented improved storage techniques for archived materials, prioritizing both preservation and user access. In addition to physical collections care, I developed a comprehensive collections policy and procedural documentation, including formal donation guidelines and certificates of gift, which have enhanced both donor engagement and institutional transparency. My role extended into public engagement and volunteer coordination, where I managed docent scheduling, trained new tour guides, and created wayfinding and interpretive signage for exhibits. These efforts have contributed to a more professional and welcoming environment for visitors and have helped position the museum as a trusted steward of local history.
